Brevard County Realty is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, captions, or screen magnification. We believe every person deserves equal access to information about buying, selling, and living on Florida’s Space Coast.

Our Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that most of the website conforms to the standard, with the known exceptions listed below.

Measures We Take

  • Color combinations tested to meet or exceed WCAG contrast requirements (4.5:1 for text)
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and properly hidden decorative images
  • Full keyboard operability: skip-to-content link, visible focus indicators, and menus, forms, and controls that work without a mouse
  • Descriptive labels and instructions on every form field, with errors announced to assistive technology
  • Semantic page structure (landmarks and heading hierarchy) for screen-reader navigation
  • Support for the “reduced motion” preference for visitors sensitive to animation
  • Responsive layout that remains usable at 200% zoom and on mobile devices
  • Accessibility review as part of our ongoing site development process

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Property search and listing displays are provided by third-party software (Showcase IDX). We do not control the internal code of these tools and cannot guarantee their conformance. We forward accessibility feedback about them to the vendor, and we are happy to provide any listing information in an alternative format on request.
  • Linked content on other websites (for example, MLS listings, review platforms, or lender websites) is outside our control.
  • Older documents or images added before our current standards may occasionally lack full text alternatives. Tell us and we will fix or provide alternatives.

Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and with common assistive technologies, including VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. The site is built with standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and remains readable if JavaScript is unavailable.
